Can I have an anemone in a 40 gallon breeder? What do I need to know before getting one. Thanks

Yes for sure, ur aquarium needs to be set up IMO atleast 6 months, u need to have correct lighting also, they also are going to go where ever they want at first to find the perfect spot for themselves, they might stay there forever and then again one day it will move again. Might also note that sometimes they find powerheads and get schredded into a million pieces. But they are an awesome addition to aquariums. I have had many and when u see a clown swimming in one it is amazing. Good luck, hope u get u one.

To add;

Rock dwelling or sandbed dwelling anemone?
What are your current water parameters --- with numbers please.

What fish do you have/plan on having in the tank?

yes but only in established tank (6 months recommended) and do keep in my they move so they might sting other corals in surrounding areas.
