i have a flowering anemone, and i have a blue spot puffer thats pecking at the meat or pink part of it, should i be concerned, was going to just make a hole in the gravel and just drop it in. any ideas other than flushing the bugger would be ideal. he doesnt bother with any thing else in the tank. right now i have the anemone in a hardball display case in the tank, works, but not to fair.. thnxs

that’s a issue, the puffer would end up killing it and don’t flush anything. Sell it to your lfs

+1 trade it in to LFS. I'm sure there is local reefer who would want it for free.

Puffers can be problematic not only to anemone, but maybe corals, and possibly tail nipping at fish depending on species.
I would make a choice between the two and would not flush either.

Give away or trade, many LFS give credit.

hes a great fish dont get me and wouldnt flush just frustrated....i have zoas, zenia, kenya trees polyps he bothers no one, sorta shocked to see him doing that, i heard that if i put the anemones between two circulating fans that it might help, that there not found of current...i dont know

If you let them nem near Powerheads it’s not going to solve the issue with the puffer

Just got rid of mine. Thought it was only bothering one zoa garden. Once I trained it to the lfs I realized it was messing with a lot of my softies and lps.

Anemones can look very out of sorts (similar to yours) for days, give it more time. And I've seen RFA's that look worse than yours and were perfectly OK. And just so you known I have experience with RFA's, I have about 30 of them in my 40g cube (5 full size adults, 5 youngsters that were born 18 months ago, 10 that are only 10 months old and a dozen or more that were just born a month ago... I'm still finding new babies because they are so small!)

I hope yours survives and best of luck.
