Thoughts on anemones in reef tanks?

Some people love them, some people hate them. Be prepared to move corals if the nem decides to move.

Can't live without them especially if you got clowns. They add a lot of character to the tank with their color and flow. Just got to be careful and watch them in case they move around. Can't blame them for that though since if I do not like a spot I would move too. Corals would do the same thing if they could move haha.

If you pick the right type of anemone it's not a problem at all in a mixed reef.

Sand dwellers like LTA and Malu make it easy to keep from corals on rockwork.

Magnifica are known to pretty much stay put if given a perch high up on rock so they can reach for max light, and that is my personal favorite and what I keep.

Anemone's and clowns are what got me into this hobby in the first place some 33 years ago, I can't imagine having a tank w/out them.

I love anemones! I don't think I would ever have a tank without one!
