I'm new to the hobby and I just set up my first tank. I bought some live rock from my LFS and

I have two hitchhikers that I think might be anemones I'm not really sure.. is there anyone out there that can help me ID these creatures.

Majano Anemones
Get rid of them. They can multiply like crazy.
Best bet if you only have a couple is take the rock out, scrape them off and then put super glue over where they were attached so no little pieces can grow back : )

And Welcome to R2R, thank you for signing up!!

Welcome to R2R. I agree with Crabs. Might want to inspect your rock really well though.

Thanks guys! Does anyone know what the red and white one is in the second picture? It's kind of hidden in the center of the picture

Ball anemone. A less invasive pest anemone. They're not as bad as majano or aiptasia, but if you're removing the majano anyway you might as well remove this one as well. They don't really cause alot of harm, i have several in my tank, they tend to stay under rock or in crevices and don't bother coral.

Thanks for being so prompt at answering my questions, I'll be looking forward to posting more on the forums.

Weirdly enough I thought everything was gonna die from cycling the tank but the majano and the ball anemone have been living in the tank for over a week with 4 to 5 ppm of ammonia and
I just got nitrite readings two days ago there up to 2 ppm. I also had Zoe's on the rock and I'm pretty sure they're going to die completely they haven't opened up once but a couple of sails and some brittle stars have been surviving.

Also I see a common bristle worm every now and then, I've noticed the smaller once have died but the larger ones have been making it through the cycle
