I have one Carpet and one Ritteri. The Carpet I've had for about 6 months and it has been thriving, open, and looking healthy. The Rittori has never really grown much, but seems to have been stable and holding his own.

Last week or so the Carpet has stayed relatively closed up, and the Rittori has moved over to underneath a brain.

Salinity is stable at 25-26, Calcium 420. Alk at about 9 (sometimes drops down to 8.5 ish), Mag at about 1400-1450. Temp is stable at 77-78.

I just began adding carbon in a bag to the sock in my return, and have added a second power head which blows over the area these two Anems are situated.

Any thoughts? I've attached a pic of the two Anems, as well as the power head in relation to the two.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure, but maybe they are not happy with the new powerhead? [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

Would the carbon be causing or contributing? Also, the new power head blows over these two by about 6 to 9 inches rather than directly on.

They could just be looking for the perfect spot.Be certain that they don't run into those powerheads.Do you know where your Nitrates are at?
