OK so had a anemone disaster last year it ate one of my clown fish I replaced the clown removed the anemone. New clown paired up straight away and they are quite big now so took the plunge n bought a bubble tip for them as I want things to be for them as they should in the wild so to speak lol. Trouble is paranoia has kicked in n I'm convinced it's going to happen again. my lfs has assured me this one will be fine and the old store I used shouldn't have sold me that type or size of Anenome and that bubble tips are great. All their fish are snuggled into them in all of their tanks so I know they are right. My clowns have gone straight to it hiding and relaxing into it and seem really happy to have it But should I put any supplement (food wise) in for the anemone or do I not need to ? Or am I just over thinking things I just don't want another disaster ???

BTA do like to be fed but it is not a necessity. If the anemone still has colorful zooxanthellae inside (Not Bleached) than the nem can live off photosynthesis. As for the clown problem, It sounds like you hada Condylactis Anemone first. They have a much stronger sting and do not take well to hosting clownfish. With that being said, this BTA will be a much better outcome than your previous anemone.

yeah I took the original anemone to my lfs n they said I should never have been sold that for my clowns. I think I'm just being overly paranoid but always better to be safe than sorry and get opinions. Thanks I'll carry on doing what I'm doing then x
