I am looking for some input on anenome Movement.

I recently added a RBTA to my tank and think the flow at the front of my aquarium from the power head was too strong. The anenome has now moved into a cave I have built.

I am wondering to what lengths I should go to get it out of the cave now. My biggest concern is that it will not get adequate light and food inside the cave and die. Will it move out of the cave on it's own if that is the case?

It was quite expensive and I don't want it to die or spike my aquarium if that happens. The other issue being of that it isn't being displayed of course. It will be a large amount of work and destruction of aquascape to get it out now I fear.

Will it move out on it's own if it needs light and food? Should I tear apart my aquascape to get it out.

I plan to reduce the power head flow once I have it out again.

It will move and find it's happy spot just keep an eye on it. Even if you did move it, chances are it will move again. They are crazy like that. :)

+1 don't try and move it, just keep an eye on it and post here if you have any other questions or concerns.

Unfortunately they move to the places in your tank you do not want them to. Its like they do it on purpose. My LTA moved to the back of my tank behind a rock where no one can see it. But that is the life he chose and we have to be willing to accept it.

Don't underestimate a Bta's elasticity - sometimes mine like to plant their foot under an overhang/in cave and streeeetch out 5-6 inches to capture those sweet, sweet light beams :).

Agree with the above. Dont force it, you will just stress it out. It will move and will stop once it finds a happy place. Mine actually moved and is sitting right in front of mp40 running at 55%. His canopy is getting blasted and he seems to like it! People use that blasting to force them to move, mine voluntarily chose that spot. Go figure.
