So.... I'm new to reefs... Saltwater in general ..
I just started a tank, 75 gal. So far I have some snails, some hermits, a watermelon bubble tip, and a cleaner shimp and a peppermint shrimp....

So my main goal in the hobby is an anenome/ clownfish pairing. Might be cliche... But it is my main goal. And has nothing to do with finding Nemo or whatever lol.

Which brings me to my questions. BTA obviously will sting/kill other corals...

I'd love some input on what types of corals or "inverts" will work well with them .

I posted in here since anenomes are technically not coral..... But will move if it's to fine of a distinction.

Once you introduce the nem give it a couple weeks and it will find a spot and probably stick to it. After that you can add corals, keeping some distance between. If it starts moving you will have to move the corals so always good to introduce them to a well established and stable system.

A happy nem rarely moves once it finds its spot.

I suppose my question is more..... Are there things I can get that I don't even have to worry about if the Nem moves around? Mushrooms? Softies? Just not sure on what things are unaffected by them. Other anenomes? Different types?

Unfortunately with corals it’s largely a zero sum game. Whatever coral you get will try to defend itself against the anemone and then it becomes a matter of who wins...

Most other anemones would be fine.

Not to hijack OP but it might be helpful to keep the Nem in one spot. In your opinion:
1) Do you recommend feeding? If so, how often and what foods?
2) Does feeding increase the rate at which they split?

My understanding is .... You don't have much control over where a Nem goes or stays...

Agree that it’s hard to keep nems from moving around short of building a cage. You can try building rock work around it too but IME they will still find a way to move.

Feeding once a week is fine, they will also more than likely manage to grab whatever you feed your fish so if you don’t feed it won’t be an issue.

IME direct feeding increases growth rates but not splitting. In general they split when stressed.

Some have recommended Vitalis Anemone Food... anyone try these?
