So 2 days ago my anenome decided it wanted to move. It had been in the same spot ever since it had its last visit with my powerhead.. so about 3 months ago.
It started to move up the rock towards where the torches are. The next day I woke up and it was kinda shriveled up near where it is now but still very attached.
This morning I woke up to it having a chunk hanging off.
What the heck could have happend?!?
It can't be a powerhead as it wouldn't be right there and it would be completely shredded.

All lv are normal.

I've had this anneome since my tank was 2 months old. I understand that it is probobly alrefy gone. Although it looks like the damage is more towards the top and not the foot.

My guess is you got it too early. 2 months isn't mature enough of a tank and things are slowly deteriorating.

The tank is 11 months old now with many other anenomes.
I've had him for 9 months now.

Also it is still attached to the rock
You didn't include that you had other nems, could be a contributing issue. What are they? Over those 9 months has there been any actual growth or slowly getting smaller?

It has been getting ALOT bigger. Probobly has grown 3 or 4 inches.

Currently all that is in there is a condy.
The other lta I had died about a month ago due to its foot getting cut open.
I did remove it.

How long has this downhill trend been going on? What's the lighting situation?

As for the concern of the tank being too young, that's based off my own personal experience. I had a situation a lot like this one, however didn't experience growth in my case.

1-2 days maybe?

Lighting is 2 ai primes and 1 ncrew 100w
The nem sits in 150ish par for 13hrs a day.
It's been in the same amount since I got it and I kept the sane lighting when I upgraded. 5 months ago.

Nofthing has had an issue with the photo period

Any changes in the last month?

It's still attached and is moving.
Although it really dosnt look well.
Put a stick there next to it to stop the torch from stinging it much more.
