I've been having problems with my 2 week old anenome and hoping for some advise. Tank is 6 months old with 4 39watt t5s. 30gallon tankl. Every since I've put the anemone in the tank, he won't stay attached to anything. He will attach himself for a few hours, then his tentacles will shrink up and he will de-tach and is often found tumbleweeding around the tank with the water current. This evening is even worse,. He has turned inside out. .... sucked all his tentacles inside his body which is weird.

Why won't he stay attached to anything? Why does he keep shrinking and expanding in full? and why oh WHY has he sucked himself inside out??? Is he dying? Or is all this normal? I was poking at him a bit when I noticed he was inside out and now he's gradually starting to slip out a few tentacles. Is this how they sleep? I don't understand what's going on here. :twitch:

Can you post some pics? What are the exact water parameters? Can you post some pics of the tank and list the equipment? It does not sound like the anemone is happy in the tank. Did you get the anemone from a LFS or did you have it shipped? What type of anemone? Last question, can you list your livestock?

Looks like this right now He's not really attached to anything... that's just where he landed after tumbling around in the current. Was healthy when I got him. Should I feed him? I have some silversides and some Wardley Shrimp Pellets

What's that gunk coming out of his mouth? He looked okay the first 3-4 days I had him. Then I fed him a silverside and it seems that ever since that silverside, he's been like this. Before the feeding, he was looking healthy.
