It'll move on it's own until it find a spot it likes. Usually looking for a crack in the rock to stick its foot into. Might help turning down your pumps if there's an ideal spot near him.

When it gets to a spot you like, feed it. Let it know that that is a good spot for food.

Sent from my ball and chain.
120g reef
40g (down at the moment)
8g nano sexy shrimp tank

wat would u recommend to feed it, i know 1 person will say this an so on, just want to avoid over feeding or not feeding it the right stuff "got it on the spur of the moment, saw it liked it an bought it" plus how long does it take before the clowns will take 2 it or will they???

I feed about 1 time a week. I feed mine squid, shrimp and silver sides. Some clowns host and others don't. Some clowns will take to them instantly and others will take time. My onyx clowns host my goni over my nem....

is it ok to give them Krill or a reef stew? i noticed that it had snagged a piece of krill floating by an it sucked it right in

Krill is fine.

BTW --- you have a "Condy" a non hosting anemone.

what kind of lighting are you using and did you acclimate the nem to it?

i've read a number of accounts where people with led's have their nems move around a lot until they get used to the lighting or find a spot with a tolerable amount of light/flow. i don't have nems so this is third hand info.

Mine stay in in one spot all the time i guess thats there happy spot.

Mirelyght all i know is it is a CoraLife light, the bulbs say 20,000 k, 150 watt, these 2 pics are off the light starting an then when it is fully on hope it helps, as far as the "Condy" i got it because it was pretty cool looking an in my budget range, but while i was waiting for sumone 2 get it for me i noticed a couple of clowns dancing in it, i really liked that purple color in the center of it tho........

I have a condy my damsel hosted it in about 2 weeks and it ate my clown i wasn't very happy but mine sets in for long periods of time then just gets up and moves in a few days he comes back to the old spot but every nem has their own personality I've seen condys that never stay still or host so the true way to tell us just wait and see :)

Just letting you know what type of anemone that you have, and that they aren't a natural hosting anemone --- no clowns in the waters that they are found in.

In our tanks there are 3 things that could happen -- you clowns will ignore it, they clowns will be hosted by it, or the clowns will be eaten by it.

what kinda of Anenome would one suggest for a newbie of my nature an that wont put to bad of a hurting on my wallet???

SeahorseKeeper dont know if this will help.....all i know is it is a CoraLife light, the bulbs say 20,000 k, 150 watt, its a 95 gal waveline, i posted 2 pics on the first page of this thread. thx mike
