Angel fish pairing

Nice article, @ngoodermuth ! I hadn't seen that. Centropyge is one of those catch-all genera that probably needs some further classification.

If you try, I would recommend two small juveniles. Also, have a back up plan for one of them if it doesn't work out. Many folks report their dwarf angels spawning, but raising fry will be another challenge, in case you weren't aware.

I have a lemonpeel and eibli, with the original goal of producing a whole bunch of tigerpyge hybrids. 5 years on and I have nearly one.

I think it’s possibke, smaller juveniles wound be my recommendation as well. I suspect a medium and small may work too.

Breeding Dwarf or Pygmy Angels is not an easy task by any means and it's very difficult to tell males and females apart for most species. I take a look at what Biota had to go through just to get a reasonable breeding population of Coral Beauty Dwarf Angels (arguably one of the easiest of the Centropyge family to care for). I'm sure it's possible but you will likely go through a lot of frustration and hassle before getting them to even spawn (let alone getting them to actually grow babies into fish).
