Hi and sorry for the late reply.
french angel can get pretty large. 24” depth with minimal rock scape can work for a juvenile and a young adult. I don’t think that 24” will be enough for a full sized specimen, I think 30” is deep enough with a large open swimming area and some large caves.

I would not put a full grown french in anything smaller than 500G they get huge
