So I have commented here and there whenever it has been brought up, how my Angel fish are good with my corals and clams and do not bother them..... Adult Majestic and Adult Blue Face

Well... I bought 2 wellso and apparently they want them....
they both came out and nip at them... Both Wellso have retracted into their skeleton and have not opened up since i bought them. I tried moving them to another spot so the Angel will not bother, but they went looking for them.
They look horrible at this point and it was only 1 day, less than 12 hours at most.
I setup a small 2.5 gal tank and moved them over to it. I am hoping they recover and if they do I will just look to trade them for something else.....

SMH

Clams, Hammers, Frogs, Torches, Lobos, Favia, Acan, Blasto, Gonis... and they ignore them for the most part.... Not the Wellso...
Interesting enough i do have a Green Metallic Brain, Not sure of exact type, but they do not bother with it. The 2 wellso are red and they went straight for it....

My friend has a lot of adult Angels in his tank. He has noticed that any new LPS or clam added to the tank becomes food for them. At this point he is just letting the current corals grow and is happy that they leave them alone.

I had a Blue that only went after 1 type of Hammer, and left all the rest of my euphyllia alone. I liked the hammer more than the Blue, so..... :xd:

you know when i got into salt water, i did it for angel fish, there are so many that look so cool. I never was interested in any Corals and didnt expect to go that route....
I saw some cool looking clams and it started from there...
I read they Micro filter the water and I thought, hey i could benefit from micro filtering... Then saw the cool colors and options and boom....
Went coral crazy, LOL...
Now i get angry at the angels when they touch something and yell at the tank from far like if they can hear me...
Hey Butt Head, get away from that coral before I trade you in.... My wife responds for me... uh no your not, you started for the fish... they are not going anywhere... LOL...

Looking back if i had the chance to start over, I would've probably done a smaller tank, maybe like the 95gal Corner i had and done all different nems and a bunch of different clowns at once...

I hear ya Z06-Hec. Back when I started in the hobby, corals weren't even available where I lived. I've always loved the fish first and foremost, and I think this will be my last big tank that focuses on corals. I only want big tanks with fish. Maybe I will setup a 40 breeder reef.

We have a Bi-color..angel, and a flame angel, and a coral beauty, in our 150g main, and they all get alone aloneness don't nip at alone deny corals, Zoa's, or our clam.

Guess we have been lucky..

I agree 100%....I have a French angel and if I add any new lps....it's lunch....he leaves the corals alone that were in the tank before I put him in...it's weird...
