Just curious guys I see a lot of people keep angles in full blown reefs I have a coral beauty in my 60 gal that occasionally nips on some coral but I would love to get a potters angel of something similar will it eat all my coral? Should I even chance it? And what are some maybe less or a "risk" angles to put in reefs? I'm assuming it's just kinda hit or miss every fish acts different any help is greatly appreciated :D

I've always kept dwarf angels in my reefs. In my 150 gal, at one time I had 6 of them.

Will they nip? Sooner or later, yes. But they all nip at different corals and to a different extent. If your corals are large & mature colonies, you probably won't even notice it. But if you are trying to get small frags to propagate then their nipping might become a problem.

Any angel can nip any coral at any time. Some are more likely, some are less likely.

So what I got from the article is to probably not try a potters angel I still really want to though lol I guess it's just one of those things I think I will give it a shot the nipping usually doesn't kill the coral correct?

If it's a small frag or a "small headed" LPS (for example), yes it can. I had to remove a beautiful colony of both candy canes & acans because my Lemonpeel just wouldn't stop nipping. And zoas/clams are toast.

I don't have zoas or clams in my tank almost all sps mainly mini colonies and frags and a few LPS also a bta should I go for it guys?

Sps will be fine, depends on the LPS, that may be a risk, but if you want the angel, go for it.

I have a pygmy in my mixed sps, lps, zoa, anemones bta and carpet.i have had no problems yet he just picks at the rocks not the corals but that could at any moment and im ready to get rid of him as soon as he decides corals are a food.
If you want to try more angels i say go for it but be ready to return or give away.

Thanks guys I'm planning on placing an order from liveaquaria in the morning :p
