So my dwarf flame angel who loves to eat. He really never touches my corals. I have been breeding Tigger pods and I noticed this fish absolutely loves them when I dumped about a 1000+ pods in my tank last night while the lights were on. Then about another 1000+ pods when the lights went out, because he ate a lot and they are for my green mandarin.
I got to thinking and came up with a possible theory behind coral picking.
If you think about it. People always say,"it is not a matter if they do, but a matter of when they do." So when they do. Is it, because the pod population has become increasingly larger over time. They got hungry one day and tasted some pods and went searching for more and found a bunch crawling on our corals.
Also a lot of people say,"I keep them well fed. So they don't even think about picking at my corals" Thinking about that. Makes me think about they are not in need of the pods.
Do we really think they are picking at the corals or are they really picking at the pods crawling around on them and just very aggressively grabbing them off the coral and rip them apart to get at them?
