Recemtly I had to break down my tank due to a leak. During this time, I also lost most of my sps during transfer:(

So when I do resetup my 250 dd, I am torn between the options of creating a fowlr or an sps dominant tank.

I love angelfish, esspecially the emperor and queen. With a fowlr I believe my tank would be suitable for these fish and possibly a third angel. Along with triggers and a puffer. The only problem is I also enjoy sps. So, is it possible for me to mix the two together and be successful?

I've read that angels will nip at sps causing little pe, but this is a natural occurrence on the reef. Would a 250 be large enough to house a few angelfish?

If the answer is yes, would a stocking list similar to this work?
Emperor angel
Queen angel
Blue face angel
Flame angel
Naso tang
Blue tang
Yellow tamg
Clown pair
Harlequin tusk
And a mix of wrasses?

I would also want to introduce the fish at a younger age and allow them to grow in the tank.

I've mostly had issue with large angels eating LPS, zoas and sponges. I know they can nip at sps, but I've yet to hear a story where an angel wiped out a whole colony. Mostly it's "my angel wiped out my whole Euphylia garden!". I would think your best chances would be doing the SPS dominant reef with the angels and counting on there being so many in there that you dont notice the occasional nipping.

Wow, that is a very impressive angelfish collection. I just picked up my first angelfish last week. A swallowtail.

Sounds like i will be setting up an SPS dominant tank with angelfish!

What is everyone's thoughts on my fish list?
