So i was interested to hear what kinds of large angelfish u guys have had success with in a reef tank, im looking into one day getting a large angel for my 150, so let me hear those success stories.

My P. Navarchus (Majestic) was great up until last week. I had him in the tank for two years and then over the holiday weekend he developed a taste for certain chalices and acans. Not all were touched and I would still attempt because I have another in a 250g tank that has been fine for many years. Each fish is different.

I've only had my regal angel in my 180 mixed reef for a few weeks, but so far so good. The tank is predominantly SPS, but he hasn't nipped at any acros, clams, or the little bit of LPS & softies I have in there. I've got my fingers crossed...

Genicanthus angels are all good bets for leaving your coral alone.

I kept a french angel for 12 years in my 400gal reef, only picked at polyps. Got him at 3'' he dies first of the year at 15''

I've had my regal for years, never seen it it, somehow it's still alive...
Misbar Regal Angel, yellow belly.

Flame Angels (Juvi) are great to keep in reefs, until they become adults, you may need to monitor that.

I've have Regal, majestic, goldflake, and scribble in my reef. They didn't touch any clams, zoas, or euphylia. They do occasionally nip sps. I had very little polvp extension on the sps. Eventually, the sps won out and I decided to sell the angels

I have a blue line and a Majestic in my tank which is mostly sps but does have some chalices and frogspawn as well as some zoas and candy canes and they dont bother a thing.

I have a female Lamarks and Bellus right now and have another female Lamark's ordered. Although I am fish only, they are very active swimmers and really don't pester any other fish. Every once in a while I'll see them swim in circles close to each other but then I don't see it again for days.
