How many have kept angels with sps EVEN THOUGH they nip at their sps? Will the sps survive long term with trimmed up polyps? I have always wondered, and I know that there are people who do keep coral nippers here!

Usually if the colonies are large enough, nipping won't affect them too much. I have had no luck with dwarf angels after trying 6 different species. Couldn't stand to see them picking my frags (which would have eventually killed them).

Many SPS keepers are keeping large angels in their tanks. If you are considering it you should expect some nipping of SPS. The nipping will probably cause polyps to close. If you have a large tank with many large SPS colonies one Angels should be fine but utimately you have to decide if you can live with some nipping because more than likely some will occur.

I def. don't mind the nipping, but if it ultimately leads to it's demise than an angel would not be worth it IMO. I just wanted to see how many people are living with trimmed up sps and they have still survived.
