Thanks Marvin and Ryan. I bought a couple of lady rhomboids for my male. I cant wait to get home next week and get them on their way to their new home.
It;s tough working out of town these days, but the pictures keep me happy.

Brad - how did the introduction go with the females?

I haven't received them yet. I've been out of town working for the last 2 weeks and just got home last friday. I actually just pm'd Frank a bit ago and should get them thursday morning if that works for him. I did pick up a female flame from a friend while I was gone and she is right at home in my tank and doing great. She is gorgeouse also. I'm excited for thursday and will post some pictures of them when I get them settled in.
Here is a picture of the female flame.

Beautiful!

I added a female Rhomboid for my male and it turned out to be a juvi male ... oops!

LOL - My supermale rhomboid was a complete A-butt and would chase all the other wrasses so I thought a female would distact him. The "female" did distract him for a bit until I saw the colors getting more vivid on the so-called female. It was game on for chasing for the last 6 months and the supermale ended up breaking through my mesh, in a chase of course, and roasting under the halide. New mesh was on order and the guy took over a month to send it ... yes I was mad. Now the other rhomboid has taken over as bully and is chasing the other wrasses ... some things just don't change!

yikes!!!! :(

sorry Brad... back to regular programming... :)

Wow, I wonder why it took so long to get your mesh??
I hope I dont run into that kind of problems, hopefully with 2 of them , my male will be to busy trying to impress the ladies , and not fight with them. In my experience with the rhomboids, they have always been more on the timid side.

my old "nice" male was a bully to everyone else... he chased the other females in the tank, and they were HI Flames females and Red Velvet female... LoLz... he would do two different flashes... one for chasing the females and one for chasing the other males... ;)

Brad, out of all the wrasses, which one is the King?

That's a tough one,,, Right now, the 2 that are causing the most ruckus would be my Lineatus and my pink margin. It changes all the time, you will see 2 dominate males flashing and chasing one night and then one will disappear for a day or two, which I think it means he lost and is laying low for awhile. My male flame was on top, but I noticed when I got home last week, he had a big bite out of his fin, and he has been pretty quiet these last couple of days. So he must of been knocked off of the top of the mountain for now. LOL

He had a death in the family, so I understood. I think after 6 weeks it finally arrived though :squigglemouth:

From talking with other rhomboid owners, some are timid and some are out of control. I have had 2 of the out of control ones. The rhomboids did NOT like the lineatus!

I also have a Bellus female that has taken up eating LPS ... so I'm not very lucky lately with fish
