Just finished cycling a innovative marine drop off 20 gallon tank and was wondering if a angler fish would be ok in that size tank and if they could handle moving from one level to the other. Did little research and saw that people had them in anything from a 10 gallon up to 75 gallon but did find anyone with a drop off tank. Saw one today and thought about doing an lps angler tank something different from my sps tank

I think a warty would be fine in there, if that's one you were thinking about. Mine perches and scales all levels of my tank, so I think the drop off would just add to his exploring.

What species of angler did you see, some of the other species might get too large for a 20g.

Perfect, you would really enjoy him. They work great in a lps tank, the corals love the extra nutrients.

They manage to get wherever they need to go. Drop off should hinder that.

Species only or are you going to try and mix fish in?

Oh just no shrimp, yum. Or really any other fish that would call a 20g home would be potential food.

It would be a species only tank. Been watching some YouTube videos of them they're pretty cool going to let the tank sit for another week or so then I'm going to pick one up

A wartskin would look really nice in one of those drop-offs!!!!
