Selling my anglers off. Have 2 wart skin anglers. One purple and one white. Will take $225 plus shipping for them both. The purple will eat frozen/thawed silverside, krill and about anything else wiggled in front of it, the white I have not worked with, but eats anything moving. Been feeding damsels (will not bother with domino for some reason, any others will chow down on and any other fish that can fit into their mouths), ghost shrimp and once/twice a month guppies. Feeding once a week, on Thursdays.
Both are about 4".
Price does not include shipping which could run about $70+ depending on your zip code shipped Fedex priority. Will not split and will not ship any other method. As you can see from the photos, you do not want to have these with a community of other fish. You must have a dedicated tank for these. If you are unfamiliar with them, read up to see what all is required beforehand.
NOTE: Anglers cannot be removed from the water. They do not have the ability to expel air that has been ingested.

are they reef compatible.
Yes, they will not bother corals. All they do is sit around all day looking cute/ugly till feeding time when they will go fishing with their lure. They will eat any and all shrimp and all but the largest of fish. The purple one I have had since it was one inch so it is pple friendly knowing where its food comes from.

Believe I have a local that is taking them. Thanks all for looking.

did you keep them and then get another or did you sell them off????

They would probably eventually take all those fish out (yum), but perhaps killing themselves in the process.

Do you think it is a bigger eater than the Rhinopias? He's about 5". He has never bothered even slightly moving when those others swim by & is well fed.

Jeni...I think the Mandarin would be a meal for sure...you'd be better off moving him if you could catch him....

The white wart-skin you shouldn't have a problem with. It seems to prefer ghost shrimp and guppies. It has as of yet to bother with damsels or any other small fish. The purple painted will eat anything it can fit into its mouth though.

My own experience with damsels and frogfishes are that, if the damsel was there first, it seemingly has the ability to recognize the frogfish as a predator and maintains just enough distance to keep from getting eaten. If the damsel was introduced to the tank as food, it's going to be in a state of shock when introduced and unable to figure out where to go. All of this is confusing and leads to it being an easy meal.

I have never had a Rhinopias but frogfishes will move around the tank, will stalk their prey, and will eat fish larger than themselves, even if it kills them in the process. They are certainly not among the sharpest knives in the drawer.
