Anyone have a diamond goby, gold head sleeper, or any sand sifters like that? I have a gold head goby who is fairly large and this thing loves to pick up sand, swim up and drop it everywhere. Can’t complain my sand is very clean but it’s so annoying! He seems to love to drop sand on my toadstool

Did someone say spitting sand?
Second pic - I’m shining a flashlight from the back of the tunnel/tank so you can see the tunnel under the rocks from the front..
making good progress.. lol

I had a diamond goby for a span of 3~4 days. After getting tired of blowing sand off of corals constantly, I took them back to the store lol. Now my midas blenny will take some sand from his cave and spit it out everywhere. Now I only turkey baste sand off my corals a couple times a week lol. Definitely still annoying, but I can live with it

Once a Sleeper Goby. Took 3 days with a trap. Same issue!!! Ugh. Recently purchased a Diamond Goby. He’s a star! Sits and spits. Thank goodness. Lol.
Within 2 hours! Hates this small green toadstool. This fish needs to go hahaha

Any idea the best way to catch them? My coral is just getting filled with sand. I don’t mind the sand dunes, I actually like them but my toadstool, zoa garden, and just about everything on the right side of my tank is getting blasted. Thinking about taking it back to lfs or seeing if a buddy wants it

simple bottle fish trap worked on my pair, caught my pair in 1 hour. Looks like this:

pretty simple. since they generally hide under rock, once they go under an accessible rock, lift the rock and have a container ready. you could put a rock in a corner, for the purpose of catching one. let them burrow under it. once they do will be fairly easy to get them where you want them

Caught him using the bottle trap overnight. Used a 2 liter sprite bottle and after cleaning he went right in
