I have this red/burgundy algae in a few tanks - a couple display tanks and a frag tank. It takes over the rocks making the tank look very dark compared to bright purple/pink coralline. In the frag tank it grows on the eggcrate and the frag plugs. When it touches the corals it prevents them from growing - even Zoas won't grow on it. I have tried an array of critters to eat it, and no success. Long Spine Urchins nibble on it, but don't decimate it. Anyone know the ID and a way to get rid of it. These are all low nutrient (not ULN) tanks brimming with healthy, vibrant corals.

Not in the slightest. It is not a bacteria or dino. Structurally it's very much like a finer, low growing version of Lobophora variegata, and red of course. You can easily peel off small sections just like you can with Lobophora.
