Hello reefers, this will be my first post and i hope i can find some help on this matter, i have had this reef tank for about 5 months and like in the second month i started getting this mucus slowly, but it just kept growing and growing and has become an endless battle, no matter what i do it won't go away. I've done countless water changes, clean the rock, feed a lot less, dr tims products and nothing seems to work. I am just out of options and this think has me on top of my tank like a religion and it is pretty frustrating. I'm just hoping someone in this forum can help me. Thank u in advance
My system is a 75g with a 40g sump and swc mini s cone skimmer, also just added a little fishies gfo reactor cause my phosphates where getting high.

Thank you i agree is bacterial but i have been fighting it so long and haven't beaten it...my phosphates where high so i thought that coukd be the problem. But right now they are about 0.07 and getting lower, although the red algae and green algae are slowly going away the slime still sits in the same place.

Oh, we have.

If it doesn’t blow off easily, it’s not bacterial most likely.

Yes i use a turkey blaster and it goes everywhere on the tank.

No candles or air freshners anywhere. Clean my socks with hot water only sometimes clorox, don't think my problem comes for that.

Dosing NoPox or Vodka? Ive seen it twice myself. Once from over dosing NoPox and the other was from my girlfriends "Products". Tank was upstairs near the bathroom and would get the sprays, bodywashes and whatever else was in the air into the system. Stopping both let it clear over the course of a week or two.

Nevermind on the dosing piece. You answered before i finished typing.

This thing is so bad my socks don't last a day, and my gfo reactor has to be clean daily, it really sucks lol.

Odd.
Just to clarify, when you blow it off.
THe rocks look absolutely clean?

Not really, they still have the white slime covering them around if you look closely.
Bacteria should come off really easily and look mostly clean when you do.

Take a look at that thread I posted and skim the pics. Looks similar to me.

Already saw it, sorry if i'm answering so fast i just want to fix this so bad lol...i saw it and thankfully it does not look like that or as ugly, what i'm dealing with is white clear in color, the pictures on that thread are like brown color and they are everywhere, not sure if it's the same

Also i think the slime is sticking to my green algae, maybe that is why i see it around the rock
