I was just curious.

Your sump has an interesting design. The first chamger has a rather innovative bubble trap design. The sump may be adequate for your tank size, but the skimmer chamber may be a tad small for a larger skimmer if you decide to upgrade the skimmer eventually. However, you have a large enough space for an external skimmer next to the sump.
 
After every attempt to get my ATO to work, I gave up and installed a solenoid to stop the flow of water from the RODI supply tank. My 35G water source is sitting a 3 or so feet above my sump, I tried pulling the water from above the container, below, adding a syphon break, running the tube high before entering the sump...

Do you think this will be sufficient, or should I also incorporate the aqua lifter?
