Another aiptasia outbreak.

Hey all. Back from a trip to Europe and the tank has a bad case of aiptasia. I'm cleaning the tank tonight and I noticed that slmy wavemakers and return spout are totally covered with aiptasia. When cleaning these I put them in a jug of vinegar. Am I correct to assume that the vinegar will kill the aiptasia that has grown on the pumps ajd spout, or is this a bad idea?
