Greetings
I have a question about aluminum in reef setups, I have been following the MarinePure aluminum discussion and have read Randy’s articles and comments and it seems to come down to, are you experiencing any issues that can be attributed to aluminum and coral interaction.

The reason for my question is that I am researching using aluminum CPU cooler to cool a Nano LED project and using the tanks water to cool the LED light.

How much aluminum would leach or corrode thus adding aluminum to the tank water and I haven’t been able to find any reference to a media that removes/ absorbs aluminum other than water changes. Would carbon dosing aid in the removal with the bacteria growth uptake of the aluminum and being exported via protein skimmer.

Any thoughts or suggestions
Thanks

None of the water blocks state what type of aluminum they use
I will keep looking for an alternative
thank you for the reply
