I was in my favorite LFS the other day right after they had a shipment come in and saw this beautiful speckled blue and purple anemone. I decided to have him hold it for a few days to make sure it settled and ate for him before I brought it home.
I showed up today to pick him up only to discover that just a few hours prior he decided to take a trip into the over flow and he got a little chopped up. His foot and body sustained no damage. His tentacles also survived, his only noticable damage was to the rim around a small area of bis outer ridge. He is a bit inside out right now, but I can only attribute that to him having just come out of the bag and being acclimated for over an hour.
So my guy said I could bring him home (no charge) and see if he survives. If he doeant then im not out any money, however if he does then I will go back in and pay for him.
I have him in my smaller, more mature tank where my other recovering nem is (pete got burned walking across my heater a few weeks ago and is now healed up nicely and growing new tentacles). Im hoping the more mature and stable tank will help in his recovery.
I have him in a box near the top of the tank right now incase I nees to pull him quickly, but Im curious as to what the general concensus is with this one. Will he make it and what can I do to help ensure his survival?
