Hoping to get some opinions on a great point and shoot that does well under water.. preferably up to 10 meters and takes great pics. I think any more than that and it is going to be more of a dive camera.

Would be used on snokel trips (upcoming Cook Island trip :) ) and for use on rivers when fly-fishing.

TIA!

We have a Panasonic DMC-TS3 that we are pleased with. We've taken it snorkeling and also used it in our tank. This video of our tank was taken with it:

That is awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing, love the video!! Those look like some happy fishes, although I think I saw one of them mouth "feed me". How long have you had the camera? Is seems pretty durable? The quality looked great. I don't know if I would have thought about panasonic.

We purchased the camera in July for a trip to Jamaica and used it a lot. It will also take decent underwater pics of corals too. Make sure you buy a floating foam strap for your camera.

Our fish are definitely "fat and happy", LOL!

And to answer your question about durability, it is made of metal and can certainly withstand a few dings.

Thanks so much for your input. Looks like Panasonic has just released a newer version of this camera the TS4. I think I am between this and the Nikon Coolpix AW100. I am more leaning toward the TS4, could you tell me how the macro shots are with this camera? That is the only thing I think the coolpix might have over it. I saw some macro shots taken with the coolpix and they were insane for a p & s. The new TS4 has some great features though, time lapse and manual settings which the cool pix does not have.
