What an awesome colony...it looks like they grew right over the sandbed.
When I was first starting out w/ my zoa collection, ppl used to tell me that I have to seperate diff. zoa morphs or they will compete for space, killing off the weaker morph. Is it still true...? From the pic, it looks like they are coexisting pretty well.

I say yes its true, but it depends on certain types of zoas/palys.

Yes, stronger morphs will kill off weaker morphs. I've had a colony of eagle eyes disappear cause the ones it were competing with had bigger polyps and can get more light on them.
