Another Coral QT timeframe question....

Can ich or velvet encyst upon the fleshy part of a kenya tree? Got a frag recently, it’s in fallow QT tank. Thinking I cut the thing off the plug, and let it attach to a clean rock, then move to a separate sterile tank for 16 days to rid free swimmers.

I remove plugs and rocks from corals I purchase. Fish and corals get dipped and quarantined for a minimum of 4 weeks. An ounce of prevention will save you headache.
