If I were you, I would get a peppermint shrimp. Make sure its peppermint and not camel. Aiptasia that small the shrimp should eat in no time and they are a good clean up. They will however steal the food out of your corals mouths so be sure to feed them first if you give your coral meaty foods.

I've read that getting the "right" file fish, one that relishes aiptasia, is a 50/50 proposition; mine jumped on those little anemones like a duck on a june bug as we say around here. Good luck
I got two peppermint shrimp. I haven't seen them come out of the crevices in the rock. However, the aiptasia is MIA. So I guess they ate it.

Didn't see there was a second page of responses. This was the advice the LFS gave me too. He said that since they were so tiny, I'd be better off getting the peppermint shrimp to eat them than getting the dosing for them. Plus, as he pointed out, the shrimp were cheaper and prettier. :)

Glad you got it handled.

I got shrimps also to eat my aptasia, but the idiots ran to the back side of my rockwork and that was last I saw of the them, except a few time when I was feeding. Still got the aptasia in front.

I would fire them if I could.

Luckily, I've only seen it in the one spot. Mine are hiding out now too. Too bad you can't give them tasks like a real employee. :)

Kinda like some people I used to work with - easily distracted from their goal by shiny objects. I read that peppermints are far from obligate predators; aiptasia eaters 50/50.

It is a risk to go with a file fish if you have zoas. He may eat them as well...
