Another Cycling Question

Hey Guys,
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge. If not for the ability to source info this way I’m not sure if I’d be confident enough to embark on this journey.

Ive searched for this info and can’t find so I apologize if it’s redundant but I think I did it backwards. I added bottled bacteria a week ago but didn’t add ammonia to my livestock free tank. Never saw much of an ammonia spike and no nitrites or nitrates. I’ve now added ammonia to in. Should I do more bacteria?

The most difficult part of this process (other than the patience part) is constant wondering if I’m doing it wrong and potentially undoing all the work I’ve put in to this point. Thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry I omitted part of my post. I brought ammonia up to 2ppm

I think you are “all systems go”. I would test daily for ammonia and nitrite, but that’s probably over the top. Don’t bother testing nitrate, it will just give you false readings until the nitrite is zero. Welcome
