Is this what I think it is i.e. I will need to get the hypodermic needle out?

Berghia be sure to get like 6 or 7 they cleaned up my tank my sump etc if you don't have LPS you could try a file fish but my experience with the Berghia is that they do something that stopped the "get rid of one get 10 in it place problem."

If it's contained to one rock, pull it, nuke it, then re-cure. If you don't want to go that route you can try injecting with Aptasia X, lemon juice concentrate. Kallwasser, or boiling water. Then there are the nudi's, file fish, CB butterfly routes.

If it's a small problem and there aren't any corals on that rock, I would pull it out and go with option number one.

I tried the aptasia x. Was nuking 6-16 a day, got a peppermint shrimp after about 2 nights the aptasia disappeared and I haven't seen any since. I now keep a peppermint in the qt. it eliminates the issue before it gets to the DT

Counted three of the little suckers last night, may be more and will check tomorrow when I do the cleaning. No corals but the three I mentioned managed to be on two of my three larger rocks in the tank. Taking them out will just be a pain so I may try the hot water for starters and see how I go. Checked Berghias but seems they not available down under. Tank can do with some peppermint shrimps though but will have to check availability and price for that first.

Anyway, thanks for the advice...

shame they have a super strong sting! if somebody removed the genes coding for the toxins - i'd bet they would be a hit!
