I got a few zoas on Saturday and in the process of getting them acclimatised I noticed some dampness around the tank. Looking at the back I discovered what I thought was a leak and slight panic set in. Water was dripping from the bottom dead centre of the tank, wiped everything down to locate the leak and soon realised the water was actually running down from the light fixing on the rim at the top. I assumed there must be a crack in the glass as I could not see any other way of water leaking.

Undid the light to find no crack! I ended up cleaning slight salt creep on the fitting before putting it back and no 'leak' since then.

So two questions, why and has this happened to anyone else bed=fore?

For the record, tank being going for about two years and never happened before. Light is a Radion XR15.

Salt accumulating on devices can cause moisture to be absorbed in the salt and drip when saturated. I have it happen to my rimless when I let salt build up too much. Just a thought.

I am sure that is what happened, no water since I cleaned it. Time to clean around the tank it seems...
