I mean only people who are super angry are going to the better business bureau… and I’m 100% positive that I’m not the only person to have a good experience. If you go to their site now it says they aren’t shipping currently because of the weather. They definitely should have made this decision sooner but some responsibility goes to the buyer as well…right?

The laugh is at the fact that just because you got a good shipment one time, your disregarding all the years of dead fish and ticked off customers by saying “oh only upset people leave reviews”
No that statement is just laughable
Sorry if you find that insulting somehow
Just saw you have the hospitality award… I guess once you get it hospitality goes out the door
just joking GIF

I said how i felt. About LA and your comment. Just trying to have fun on here didn’t mean to start a fight.

On the same situation as well. My corals spent 2.5 days in Memphis. All dead, water at 48F and still waiting on the DOA I submitted. Different vendor
They contacted me yesterday. Most every vendor on here is super great to work with.

I believe these issues fall on the buyer. Don’t order livestock in the mail right now.

Has anyone noticed the increase in LA sale emails??
That doesn't always work. I ordered mine in November, this was the first available delivery date and I'm not aware of weather across the country so I didn't think about contacting the vendor being in the 70s and 80s here.

This, I ordered from a vendor that’s in my same state (Florida) and temps here have been in the low 70’s.

When ordered the weather was 60 + degrees outside. They made you pick a shipping date that was over a week away. To tell you the truth I didn’t know what day I was suppose to receive the corals. Then you get a email saying your shipment is on the way. Well, can’t do much after that. So I don’t feel like this falls on the buyer at all.

How is it on the buyer when vendors this time of year entice people to buy corals with deals, games, and contest? They say they can get us their product if we order and pick a ship date . Ok, well that’s their main job, they must know a lot about it and have done it serveral times. It’s not my main job. I’ve never shipped corals before. I don’t know how UPS and FedEx have failed in the past delivering corals because again it’s has nothing to do with my profession. I placed these orders over 2 weeks ago. The news was telling everybody winter was a thing of the past and it was 50 degrees+ across most of the nation. So, I don’t blame buyers for making purchases of corals at great prices that they like.

Guys we should all avoid ordering for a month or two and things will improve. We avoided shipping in December and January from the wholesale market in Southern California because of this very reason. I used to order in 2000lb containers called LC's full of fish, inverts, and live rock. I shipped via Air cargo and orders arrived in Spokane the same day it was packed or in tranships within 48 hours. Very little loss that way. FedEx, USPS, and UPS are not equipped for livestock shipping no matter how you cut it. Find a local club or LFS and support them.

You actually thinking that FedEx knows what’s in most of the boxes, or cares, is hilarious.
They don’t know or care, it’s not their job.
they just move stuff from point A to point B. What’s inside makes NO DIFFERENCE if both are sent the same way (both sent group or next day or 2-day)
Sorry, but they know it is going to that Ford plant, or hospital, not a residential address. And do they prioritize the last mile delivery to a business or residential address. I have my guess when they are short delivery drivers and need to make a decision. As some have stated everyone knows delivery is tough near the holidays and winter for livestock yet many still order expecting a different outcome and then complain. The last 2 years especially Covid put a strain on the supply chain, and deliveries this past year are up considerably plus companies cannot fill all open positions. It is just reality today.

FedEx wins. They got my packages here the quickest. The water was cold and a smell could be smelled when boxes were open. Slowly Acclimating now. UPS package is in town at a warehouse less than 20 min away and they are telling me I can’t get the package until Monday! That’s ridiculous and no reason for it.
