Okay I need your guys help trying to ID my dinos. I bought a nice microscope for different magnification levels and have been looking through my slides and online photos for hours this afternoon. I need to step back and get a fresh perspective on this. From what I can tell I believe I have two types of dinos in my tank. Amphidinium (Large-Cell) and Prorocentrum. I have been using: A Guide to Dinoflagellate Identification in Reef Aquaria By Jonathan Begnaud (taricha) Version: 12/12/2019 as my starting point.

Attached are some photos I took through my cell phone at different magnifications and samples.

Thanks for the help.

Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15%) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly

I can see only Amphidinium (Large-Cell)
Regardless both can be beaten by silicates dosing

Thanks for the responses.

Can anyone tell if they are small are large cell?

(meaning are they all large cell or a mix?)
Large cell only.
Here is my experience with them below in my build tread. You will find some useful links there too
Hope this helps
