Dont panic get your UV set up ..hang it direct in your tank at night ...blow of your rocks with a turkey baistor after lights out ...you will see an improvement in days believe me ....dont forget too dose phytoplankton and copepods .... I had three sorts of dinos in my tank...Great, just my luck.. could i be dealing with any worse type of algae, or is this the champion of killer algae!;Vomit
dont forget too dose phytoplankton and copepods
They are part of the ecological food chain....What do the copepods do to help?
How big is your tank and what wattage is the UV...Will cheato compete against dinos? I just put my cheato back in my ref to compete.. I had a good population of copepods. hence had.. not sure if they survived the H202 dose I did last night.. hoping that helps till I get the Jebco UV.
.till @dwest helped me and gave me the advice I'm now sharing with you ...
Thsts good enough for a tank upto 160gal ...so how big is yours ...plus what is also important with UV is the speed the water passes through ...you want it too go as slow as possible so that the water is in contact with the light longer..so an adjustable pump is better ..but the slower the betterI appreciate the help.. I'm just in panic mode.. don't want to kill anymore livestock. so the h202 was a patch to keep dinos at bay till I get the UV going. I did add some microbactor7 this morning..... will the Jebao UV Clarifier Sterilizer 55w work?
55w is more than enough ....but they are big ...115 Gal tank..

Exactly this ^^^. Additionally, I'm a huge fan of bubble scrubbing at some point during the day.Dont panic get your UV set up ..hang it direct in your tank at night ...blow of your rocks with a turkey baistor after lights out ...you will see an improvement in days believe me ....dont forget too dose phytoplankton and copepods ....
