Hi all

Just wanted some opinions on adding another dwarf angel to my 180 G reef.

I currently have a 180 G reef mixed with LPS and SPS. Along with a flame and Brazil flame back angels . Both of them have been in the 180 for about 5 months now, and get a long just fine.
So, I was wanting to add Potters dwarf angel to this reef, is this pushing it? Or, should all 3 get a long
fairly fine?

Other tank mates:
3 tangs
3 wrasses
1 clown
2 orange spot gobies

Thank You,

Maybe. You have two dwarf angels already. Even in a decent sized tank, a 180, they might think that two angels are enough. It has a good chance of working.

A 180g can provide enough space for 3 Centropyge species, but it is best to add them simultaneously. Adding a new one to 2 established ones is risky.

I think it is possible. Try with an acclimation box. I have a 100g with a flame angel and a coral beauty. They get a long fine. I think with 180g it sounds possible.

I've currently had a flame and coral beauty together in a 65 gallon tank for a couple of months. The larger flame does periodically chase the coral beauty, but the chases are short - a few inches, 'round a corner, and we're done. The coral beauty was fully established in the tank, but the flame was introduced on the night that I moved the who shebang across the room to make way for an upgrade. I'm hoping to be able to add more angels once that's up and running, and plan to 'scape it in a way that allows me to insert an eggcrate tank divider when adding new fish who are likely to experience territorial issues - angels, tangs, wrasses . . .
