Just looking for ideas for another fish or two to add to existing tank, or maybe a shrimp.
I’m more of an “invert guy” so haven’t done much research on fish.
*just starting on soft corals
Primary goals:
— Easy/hardy beginner stuff, ideally not commonly prone to getting or introducing fish-related parasites/diseases (if “less likely” species is even a thing)
— Get along well with existing inhabitants
— Safe for zoanthids and other beginner soft corals
Current situation:
— 4 month old 40 gallon breeder with most everything transferred from 6+ month old 37 gallon
— 1 bicolor blenny and 1 clownfish
— pink urchin and chocolate chip starfish — already know chocolate chip is not considered reef safe but he’s staying
— tiger sand conch, a couple nassarius and margarita snails
— 2 newish zoas
Extra rambling:
— fire fish look nice but think I read this may not work out well with blenny
— goby + pistol shrimp sounds cool but going to avoid pistol shrimp for now
— jawfish / goby — issues with blenny?
— not really a fish guy so looking for ideas
— might like some type of shrimp (but not sure best fit) — skunk, other cleaner, red fire shrimp, sexy shrimp ???
