Was looking for opinions on if i can get another potentially large fish in my tank
150 gal with an RS200 Sump.
6 Feet long

Current stock
Large purple tang 5"
Medium Powder Blue tang 4"
baby Hippo tang 1.5-2"
medium adult majestic angel 3.75 -4"
medium adult blue face angel 3.75-4"
4 clowns small in size
2 Goby
1 Blenny

So my thoughts were i have the space now for a another potential large fish but my thoughts are once my hippo reaches adult (not sure how fast they grow) if i will have enough swimming space for the large fish….
Clowns do not move from their designated corners much so i am not concerned about them.
At this moment only the Power blue and the Purple tang really swim the entire length of the tank.
The Majestic comes out occasionally and swims but stays stationary most of the time.
the Blue Face hardly ever comes out. his face is always peeking out of his small cave and he really only comes out if anyone is in his cave spot. He doesn't even come out at feedings, he comes out later on when he wants to and picks up left overs from the sand bed.

At this moment i definitely know i have the room for one, i am just concerned about the hippo once it grows to adult status. She always hides now.

My possible options are
Regal Angel
Adult Emperor angel
Achilles tang - just a thought, not sure i can with the purple and powder blue…

I can't speak from personal experience but I've observed that blue tangs do tend to grow pretty quickly

I have seen them pretty large, but even if it was large…
Would the fish i have currently need the swimming space…
At this point only the Purple and the Powder Blue use the swimming space, so even if the Hippo was large, would it utilize the swimming channel and even if it did, would 6 feet be enough space for another potentially large fish like the ones i listed?

IMO, you do not have enough room for any one of the 3 fish you listed.

The Emp will get too big and when it does get big enough it will give you issues with your other 2 angels.

The Achilles needs a larger tank, in addition don't see your powder blue and it getting along.

The regal would be fine if you don't already have 2 large angels.

Lastly, would be thinking about getting rid of a few of those fish before considering adding any others -- JMO.

+1 The 2 angels will be miserable in that tank when they grow up and the tangs will all start fighting. I would either upgrade to a much larger tank, or sell off some of your fish & focus on smaller fish. FYI; I've basically tried what you're doing in a 150. It worked when they were all small/young; but once they grew up it was all out war.

I was pretty much set on the fish I have and not getting any more. The wife asked and I thought meh, maybe it could work so I threw the question out there.
I thought I would get this answer so I wasnt really set on another fish.
As far as fish growing, the only one I notice growth on besides girth is the Powder blue and the Hippo tang.
Honestly I know it isnt possible but the Purple looks smaller in my tank than when I bought him in that tiny crammed tank he was in.
The Majestic i have had for over a year and she has gotten fatter but I cant notice any length change. In fact all my fish have gotten nice and plump.
The powder was beat up bad and you could see all her ribs and her fins were all eaten up. She has gotten nice and plump and filled in her fins and looks great.
In any event.... not sure how fast these guys will grow, but an upgrade in 1-2 years is not out of the question.
But larger than 6 feet not sure I see fitting anywhere... I've seen larger volume tanks but they are still 6 feet in length. Which IMO does not increase the swimming room for the fish at all.

The Achilles and powder blue are a recipe for definite disaster. We started our Achilles out in a 6 ft tank when we got him over 3 years ago. He's now 7 1/2" and we had to upgrade to an 8 footer with more width as well. They grow quick and swim a lot!!!

I want a picture, lol.
Just to see the tank

We just converted over to the new tank and still working on rock work so haven't gotten any recent pics ;-) Here is an older pic of the 6 ft from about 9 months ago.
