My female clown fish is such a huge jerk. She used to bite me and attack any cleaning apparatus that went into the tank. As she got older, this subsided but she has this thing with nerite snails sitting at the water line. She nips at them and splashes at them with her tail. I constantly have to put a towel on the top to keep water from splashing everywhere.

I didn't realize just how vicious she was until today when I cleaned my tank and decided to manually move a snail so I would quick getting splashed....

Look at the damage! SO MEAN!

Hate to say but very typical of female clowns especially maroon and debar species
They dominate areas of tank, push the male around, claim territory and try to steal all the food not to mention biting at tankmates and it’s owner

I had no idea that their teeth were that sharp and could get through shell. Amazing.

I had a maroon she used to draw blood….traded her in months later got two bonded maroons seems to help a little but shes still a terror I’m a sucker for watching the interaction with their LTA
