New tank, returning to hobby, Reefer 525XL, 59" long tank with 22" depth.
What would you use?
3x AI Hydra 26HD vs 2x Hydra 52HD?
mainly softie, LPS and some easier SPS.....for the startup.
Sent an email a while ago to AI requesting info, this is what I got back, but in the email, I did refer to the Peninsula tank which is 49" long, not the 59" tank.
"Thank you for reaching out to us here at AquaIllumination! Each Hydra 26HD will put out a light spread of about 28"x28"x28". Each Hydra 52DH will put out about 36"x36"x36" light spread. With that being said, using x3 26HD units will get you a much better overall spread of light over your Peninsula. The x2 52HD units will work but it may not be the most ideal for that system. Truthfully the choice is yours on what works better for your system and what you find most appealing!"
Thinking of an Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid at a later stage to supplement LED.
