But I Caught this one! HA! He was hiding in my large barnacles, just lifted it right on out soon as I saw him.

Im thinking some kinda stone crab but would like others folks opinions.

He's a cute little guy! At that size it's hard to tell whether he is a mithrax or a xanthid crab. A clear picture of one of his class close up would help. Without that, I'd lean Xanthid.

He is small. Roughly inch total, nickel just the body size.

Best claw shot I've got atm. This one is the smaller but there isnt a Huge size difference between the two. edge looks smooth rather then the bumpy/lump. Definite curve to them.

Might help...behavior wise. He is defensive, when "attacked" by a very threatening stretched out paper clip. He balls up, tucks claws and legs.. Rather then tossing those claws up into the air and trying to fight.

Body is smooth....legs are a few days past shaving need one but not hairy

Xanthid almost definitely. Not the the exact id matters, either way it's a carnivore/scavenger. If you run a sumo, toss him in there.
