Another ID request

What do I have here? It is slow growing and almost translucent.
This is magnified quite a bit. The full pic width is about 1 1/2". The snail is a dwarf cerith

Possibly, but I don't think so. It seems to be completely devoid of chlorophyll or any other coloration, which I believe is atypical of macroalgae.

I'm pretty sure its some kind of sponge.
