Hi,
On my 4ft tank i have a clear glass center brace which is about 4" wide and about 1/8" thick, how much would this affect a center hung 32" led if at all?
thanks mark.

It shouldn't effect lighting much, especially being a glass center brace. It may reduce the par output underneath it though.

The real problem with a glass center brace is cleanliness - accumulations of salt creep, spray, dust, spilled fish food, etc. can drastically affect PAR transmission. Cleaning the underside of the glass was difficult on the 110-gallon long I had back in the 90's.

yes it is a pain , ill try to keep on top of it , need some of those clear tear offs like the moto gp and formula on drivers use lol

I have a 20-24" Glass Center Brace on my 240G - old Oceanic. It is a pain and PAR is a bit less, but acros still grow quite nicely under it. Keep the salt creep off of the top and algae off of the bottom and everything will be OK.
