Another Melanurus with open mouth thread

What's with these fish, seems every month you read about a Melanurus with an open or injured jaw. Just noticed this past weekend mine swimming with an open mouth. He's fine and eating so no worries. Maybe if he wasn't a pig and took smaller bites this wouldn't have happened.

If all behaviors are normal try not to overreact.

I have a blue Hippo and they are know for veeeeery strange behavior. Ive seen mine swim upside down across the tank like an aerobatic stunt. Lol!

Mine tangled with a bristle worm. I wouldn't have really noticed but a closer look he had white fuzzy items off his lips. 2 days later after noticing he was back to normal. Didn't learn his lesson because 3 weeks went by and it happened again. Same result. Everything back to normal.
