Before I purchase my miracle mud, I saw lots of people raving about how much it helped their corals. After buying the miracle mud, and put it in my HOB refugium I read it can make your tank cycle. I've disconnected the pump to the refugium, but now I don't know what to do with it. I don't want it to recycle my tank with my fish and corals in it. Anyone added it to their established tank? There is a warning on the directions about it making your tank cycle...

Depending on the size of the tank and age you'll probably be just fine. Don't forget every year you need to replace half of the mud anyway.

That's exactly what I mean. I ended up just using 5 pounds each in my HOB refugiums, covered with rubble rock, stocked with pods and let sit for a day to settle down. Everything was fine when I started it up. My seahorse tank is at the end of it's cycle anyway, so I wasn't worried about it. Besides, I haven't put anything in it! On my reef tank, I have noticed my Zoa polyps really extending!
