Got 2 black Darwin clowns on Thursday and Saturday one is in perfectly good condition but the other is barely moving from the upper corner of the tank. I’ve seen it swim around but. It often resorts to up there pretty often. I did take a closer look at some of the fins and there seems to be some tearing on the outer clear lining of the 2 side fins. Not the darker parts. No spots and he has been nipped at a few times by my tail spot but I haven’t seen anything too aggressive from it so far that would cause that type of tearing. The breathing seems normal as well, I’m not too familiar with fish breathing pattern though. Is it just sick, shy or struggling to swim? Also to mention it hasn’t eaten at all from what I’ve seen.

Final update- little dude unfortunately didn’t last the entire day. He definitely had some sort of swim bladder issue but I think he didn’t take well in the Aquarium store environment in the first place and me adding it to my tank didn’t help unfortunately. My lesson of the day for all folks is not to trust your gut when it comes to buying fish.
